The department is adopting risk-profiling of applications submitted to detect provision of inaccurate information and omission of information. However, the parameters of the risk factors are mainly determined by human judgment. The department intends to make use of big data analytics technology to identify the risk factors and evaluate their effectiveness so as to strengthen the monitoring and authentication mechanism.
