To promote the widespread adoption of innovative AI technologies across government departments, the Smart Government Innovation Lab has established the "AI+ Tool and Solution Catalogue", featuring a selection of AI-related tools and solutions that may suit the needs of government departments. It serves as a central and convenient reference platform to help departments efficiently explore and adopt suitable AI technologies, thereby driving innovation and enhancing the effectiveness of public services.

To assist government departments in adopting AI solutions, the Digital Policy Office has released key resources such as the AI Adoption Guide for Government Bureaux and Departments, the Ethical AI Framework, and the Hong Kong Generative AI Technical and Application Guidelines. These documents provide practical guidance on AI adoption, including checklists of best practices, prompt writing tips and facilitation measures. Besides, they also provide guidelines for developing and deploying AI projects responsibly, aligning with ethical standards and best practices to enhance productivity and improve public services by embracing AI technologies.

AI Adoption Guide for Government Bureaux and Departments

The AI Adoption Guide for Government Bureaux and Departments (B/Ds) outlines strategies, guidelines, and facilitation measures to assist B/Ds in embracing AI technologies. It encompasses practical guidelines, checklist of best practices, and prompt writing tips, aiming to empower B/Ds to implement AI technology safely and responsibly to enhance productivity and improve public services.

Ethical Artificial Intelligence Framework

The Ethical AI Framework has been developed for internal adoption within the Government regarding the applications of AI and big data analytics. The Framework is developed to assist B/Ds in adopting AI and big data analytics and incorporating ethical elements in the planning, design and implementation of IT projects or services and it consists of ethical principles, practices and assessment of AI.

Hong Kong Generative Artificial Intelligence Technical and Application Guideline

The Hong Kong Generative Artificial Intelligence Technical and Application Guideline aims to provide practical operational guidance for technology developers, service providers, and users in the application of generative AI technology. This guideline covers the scope and limitations of application, potential risks and governance principles of generative AI technology.

Government departments are looking for off-the-shelf AI solutions that are conducive to enhancing public services and their operational effectiveness. Solution providers are welcome to propose cost-effective, handy AI solutions or products based on application areas.
