Solution Name

Smart Prison-Movement Monitoring System

Solution Description

Manual prison monitoring is a time and resource consuming process that is prone to human errors and miscalculations. The Prison-Movement Monitoring System uses computer vision and 3D point clouds to derive insights from the video cameras and LiDAR sensors installed inside the prison. It analyses the prisoners inside prison cell, calculates the number of people in different areas, determines speed and direction of traffic, conducts human classification (e.g. inmates, officers, visitors) and displays real-time and accumulated statistics in a web-based dashboard so as to tailor to user’s needs.

Use Case

Smart Prison-Movement Monitoring System efficiently detects, classifies, alerts, and accurately counts the number of prisoners located within a prison. This system effectively monitors prisoner activity, ensuring their adherence to designated areas. Whenever inmates venture beyond their designated zones, an immediate alert is dispatched to inform prison officers of the situation, enabling prompt inspections and ensuring prison security. Our system also tracks the movement of each individual inmate, assisting in the effective management of the complex prison environment.
