Optix’s NLP Analytics Solution, namely Intrinsity, is designed to streamline and automate complex document processes using Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) technology. The solution automates the verification and approval process in order to reduce human errors as well as reduce intensive manual work and subjective judgment. The solution comprises various machine learning mechanisms that capture user feedback for continuous enhancement of accuracy.


The solution consists of 5 modules.


OCR (optical character recognition)

• Recognize text from documents in different formats, including PDF, PNG, JPEG, etc.

• Convert image to machine-readable text for further processing


Document Classification

• Classify document or free-text passages into single or multiple predefined categories according to the content patterns

• Employ various text analytic techniques, such as sentiment analysis, sentence structure analysis, and paraphrasing, to understand the polarity of the textual data for the classification


Entity Extraction

• Extract key entities of the textual data, such as people, places, dates, and other domain-specific data that interests your organization

• Entity can be a word, phrase, or specific format of data


Knowledge Management with Intelligent Search

• Offer a single point-of-access to content sources of an organization, allowing both structured and unstructured data to be enriched, searched, and analyzed

• Provide a dashboard to show a comprehensive overview of data from different sources.

• Provide accurate answers to queries by understanding a user’s goal, and return results that are based on the inference of that goal


AI Recommendation

• Predict the users’ decision, and provide relevant suggestions based on the precedent cases from the knowledge base

• The AI recommendation engine can be used for auto-approval base on precedent cases from the knowledge

Application approval automation

Document type: Identity Card, Passport, Business Registration Certificate, Company Registration Certificate

• Extract data from application document

• Validate extracted data against external system/ database/ pre-defined rules, e.g. if the submitted document is as per requirement

• Approve/ reject the submitted application documents based on pre-defined rules/ precedent cases from the knowledge base


Customer support triage automation

Document type: Email

• Extract data from emails containing free (unstructured) text

• Route/ classify emails based on topic, issue, intent or attachment

• Prioritize incoming emails based on defined criteria and urgency


Document review and management automation

Document type: Contract, Agreement, Legislation, Policy, and etc.

• Identify types of legal documents (lease, indemnity, license agreements, etc.)

Document type: Request for Inspection and Survey Checks (RISC) Form
